NFL Week 10: "Ask the Docs" Replies

Saturday, November 9, 2013

You've got questions and we're here to dish out answers. Lot of great questions this week ranging from trade offers to starting decisions to wavier advice. We decided to go the Social Media route this year, so if you dropped us a question on our Twitter, Facebook, or Google+ pages, odds are good you got an answer! For the rest of you, we've compiled the questions and our responses to try to help the masses as well. Many of our replies will have components that are directly applicable to components on your team, so without further ado, let's get to it:

I have Matthew Stafford, Jake Locker and big Ben. Who should I start? Also Decker, Woodhead, L. Bell or A. Jeffery for flex?ppr 12 team
- Eric on Google+

Docs: Stafford is your best bet this week despite the fact that he is playing a tough division game. Stafford has been too good this season to bench him. Roethlisberger is your second best option. Wow. You have some good choices for flex. While Jeffery could still have some excellent days ahead of him, he has missed Jay Cutler. Jeffery is your 4th best option for flex. If you were in a non-ppr, Bell would be your best option. It is an extremely close call for Decker and Woodhead in a ppr league. However, Decker is the better option. He has way too much upside to pass on this week.

non ppr. i have lynch, charles, spiller, and moreno at rb at wr i have garcon, nicks, tate, and dobson trade question would you trade moreno for aj green ? thanks
- Tom on Facebook

Docs: That would be a great trade. A.J. Green is one of the best WRs in the game. He should continue to produce at en elite level all season. Since you have the RB depth, it makes even better sense for your team.

Totally torn this week on my WR3... Should I start Stevie Johnson, Emmanuel Sanders, Marvin Jones, or Darius Heyward-Bey??? Please help!
- Jonathan on Facebook

Docs: Emmanuel Sanders is the call this week. The Steelers have a great passing matchup against the Bills. Sanders has been targeted 11 times in each of his past two games.

Jeffery, Baldwin, or Douglas for my flex?
- Brian on Facebook

Docs: On a different week, Harry Douglas might be the better call. However, the Seahawks secondary has been very scary for opposing WRs. Go for Jeffery against the Lions. Jeffery has proven he has the talent. Now he just needs consistent QB play to take his game to the next level.

Hey guys, I am wondering if a trade of my Aaron Rodgers for his Percy Harvin is as insane as I think. It is a 2 qb, ppr custom league. The thing that is making me look at this deal is I also have Cutler, Dalton and Smith but only Greene, Nicks, Boykins and Jennings at wr and since this is a 3wr ppr league I could really another. He also has offered Terrence Williams for Rodgers as well.
- Scott on Facebook

Docs: This deal is a little out of the box, but I like it. The person you are dealing with is hoping Rodgers is back for the playoffs. Rodgers is out 4 to 6 weeks. Maybe he is back for your fantasy playoffs or maybe he isn't. You have the QB depth and you can use Harvin as soon as he is ready. Do the deal for Harvin.

Big trade proposal: I give up zac stacy, jimmy graham, and one of roddy white/mike wallace/harry douglas/james jones for AP, Gronk, and deandre hopkins. I think I might pull the trigger on this today, but hesitating just because Graham has been so insanely good and I don't know where Stacy's ceiling is. Thoughts?
- Zachary on Facebook

Docs: Zachary, you have found the best Zac in the NFL and that is something that cannot be understated. However, anytime you can get Adrian Peterson is a good thing. Make Mike Wallace your 3rd player you send away in the deal. The other WRs you have all possess more upside.

Jacoby Jones, Mike Brown or Kris Durham for week 10, pick one please.
- Wyatt on Facebook

Docs: Mike Brown is the play this week. With Justin Blackmon out for the rest of the year, Brown could continue to see his targets increase in Jacksonville.

I have lost Reggie Wayne, Randal Cobb, Justin Blackmon, Brandon Gibson at WR. Should I trade RB Jamal Charles, Fred Jackson, Reggie Bush to improve my situation or stick with a slew of WR3/4s. Lost 3 weeks in a row now 5-4 HELP!!!!
- Rod on Facebook

Docs: So far it looks like your season is turning into a classical tragedy right before your eyes. If you only start 2 RB, you should move one of them to get some WR upgrades. You shouldn't move Jamal Charles though. He is far too explosive. See what kind of deals you can get for one of the other two.

Who should I start in the flex spot, Hillis or Torrey Smith .5 point/rec. .25 point/rush att
- Mike V on Twitter

Docs: On most weeks, Smith would be the call, but with Jacobs out Hillis is the guy you want. The Raiders are a juicy matchup.

start Ray Rice or Andre brown ??
- Nathan on Twitter

Docs: Rice is the play this week despite how much of a disappointment he has been.

At the Flex should I go Tolbert or Emmanuel Sanders?
- Dylan on Twitter

Docs: Even though Sanders is a good start this week, Tolbert has been a solid producer and should be your starter.

That's a wrap this week. Great interacting with everyone and good luck to everyone's teams this week. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out our FootballDocs' Social Media pages and send us your fantasy football question: Google+, Facebook, and Twitter.
