Individual Defensive Players (IDP) are a "relatively" new concept in fantasy
football. "Relatively" being several years now, but on the grand scheme
of things IDP can be considered a more recent concept in fantasy football.
The idea is to use individual players for your fantasy football defense
rather than a team defense concept, which is traditionally what most fantasy
football leagues have used in the past and continue to still use today. The
IDP concept has a "relatively" small interest level and has been slow to
grow, but most folks find themselves eventually giving it a shot to come
to their own opinion about it. Some try it and really dislike it, while
others are passionate about IPD and wouldn't have it any other way.
