Fantasy Football Start Sit
FREE weekly fantasy football who to start & sit advice
Our weekly "Who to Start and Sit" column is part of FootballDocs In-season content. All of FootballDocs In-season content is 100% free and starts September 5, 2012.
After starting your studs (typically players ranked after week 5 in the top ~15 RBs, top ~ 10 WRs, top ~ 10 QBs, top ~3 TEs, top ~5
Defenses, and top...wait, no kicker is a fantasy football stud), the Docs will help you decide who to start and sit as we recommend
players in our fantasy football start sit column that are not clear studs and can step in with a big game for your team this week. Consequently, we will not
recommend who to start and sit with the top few players at each position in our weekly fantasy football start sit advice (given starts every week); however, we may occasionally recommend players ranked
15 - 25 overall due to some teams out there that will have multiple players at one position in this range but can only
start one. If we recommend such a player it does not mean we think they are not a stud, we are just trying to help those folks out there that may
be in such a situation. We also recommend players to bench, so our fantasy football start sit column is sometimes referred to as fantasy football start bench column. Additionally, we offer
Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings to help even further with some of those more difficult
start sit decisions. Last, be sure to check us out every Tuesday as we do a Wrap-up on our advice - both good
and bad. In fact, every wrap-up is kept and posted as a permanent, public record of what we called and how good or bad the calls were.
2. Confidence in our analysis and recommendations.
3. Because the Docs take winning every bit as seriously as you do.

FREE Fantasy Football Start Sit Advice NFL Week 17
Cam Newton, QB, CAR - Newton should put up monster stats again this week. The Panthers and the Saints have nothing left to play for, but this is a divisional game where you can expect each team to go for the win and finish on a high note.
Drew Brees, QB, NO - Brees was masterful last week. This week he should continue his hot streak. Look for the Saints to hit the Panthers with their best shot in a game that has nothing on the line but pride.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, GB - We have a sneaky suspicion that the best of Aaron Rodgers is yet to come in 2012(2013 playoffs). Rodgers can clinch the #2 seed in the NFC and a 1st round bye. Look for Rodgers to put on a clinic against the Vikings.
Tony Romo, QB, DAL - Romo has the chance to throw away another season at the last moment. However, he should still put up nice numbers as he goes down in a blaze of glory. As long as your league doesn't give you extra penalties for crushing fan bases with a single boneheaded move, you should be fine.
Dez Bryant, WR, DAL - This is Bryant's 3rd year in the NFL! He has a broken finger, but that isn't slowing him down. Plug Bryant in there and enjoy the ride. His hot streak should continue.
Andre Johnson, WR, HOU - Houston needs to win this week to clinch home field advantage. You can be rest assured that the boys from southern Texas have no desire to travel anywhere like Foxborough, MA in January.
James Jones, WR, GB - Talk about a weapon, Jones has brought tears to his owners eyes that were sorely needing help at WR. With 4 TDs and 17 targets over his last 2 games, Jones doesn't need to be anywhere but in your starting line-up to finish the year.
Antonio Brown, WR, PIT - Brown has nailed a TD in three consecutive weeks and now he gets to face the very WR friendly Browns defense. With Mike Wallace out, things couldn't have set up any better for Brown owners for their big game.
Arian Foster, RB, HOU - Last week, Foster sat for an irregular heartbeat. That could make you a little gun shy on this fantasy stud, but you are just going to have to stick with your guns this week and start Foster. With home field advantage on the line, Houston should be giving it all they have this week.
C.J. Spiller, RB, BUF - Spiller is doing everything you hoped he would to carry your team through the playoffs. Every time he touches the ball it looks like he has been shot out of a cannon, and he is a constant threat to rip a long run for a big score. Start Spiller with confidence in the wild week 17 of the NFL.
Darren Sproles, RB, NO - Ingram may be catching the headlines, but Sproles has been piling on the points. Sprinkle in a TD with Sproles, and he is big time. With his speed and playing on the fast turf in Nawlins', expect Sproles to finish the year strong.
Alfred Morris, RB, WAS - Morris has been a horse for your team all year, and he shouldn't disappoint in week 17. The Skins have everything to play for on Sunday, and Morris is a key component to them getting the "W" for a franchinse hungry for success.
Let 'em warm up the pine (a.k.a. Sit)
Nick Foles, QB, PHI - In case you missed this one, Foles is out and Michael Vick is back. Leave Foles on your bench. If you are in a bind, you can give Vick a try, but don't expect the "the good" Vick to show up on Sunday.
Michael Turner, RB, ATL - The Falcons have nothing to play for this week, but they will still want to trot everyone out there to keep them warm. This said, the team needs Turner at 100% for the playoffs. They will likely not be giving Turner the number of carries he needs to get to be an impact player.
Vick Ballard, RB, IND - The Colts have little to play for this week and Ballard has a tough matchup against the Texans run defense. The Texans are trying to get home field advantage in the playoffs, so you should expect some spirited defensive play in this one.
Reggie Wayne, WR, IND - Wayne is in a similar boat to Ballard. The Texans have a lot to play for this week, but the Colts just need to stay healthy. After all of the seasons that Wayne has played in the NFL, it is probably time for the team to let him rest.
